The CountMoonline Rises: Opening Lineup Announced
(Wall: Day After Day)
AEG Presents has unveiled the inaugural concert calendar for its new Austin venue Moonline a week after confirming the debut lineup for its soon-to-open venue a mile away, United Heritage Hall.
The 1,500-capacity Moonline’s initial bookings include Beach Bunny, Gorilla Biscuits, Texas rap favorite Paul Wall, Chelsea Cutler, Bad Suns, Blondshell and, on its Feb. 13 opening night, local Talking Heads tribute act HeartByrne.
The site of the former Emo’s, at 2015 East Riverside Drive, has been extensively renovated and upgraded. You can nab tickets to upcoming performances here.
“This first run of shows is exactly what we wanted Moonline to be: a room where a hardcore show, a pop show and a Houston rap show all feel at home in the same month,” said Robin Phillips, AEG Presents VP, Southwest Region. “Austin has always made room for every kind of music, and we built this calendar the same way.”
Meanwhile, the 4,000-capacity United Heritage Hall is under construction at River Park and will boast appearances by ZZ Top, Death Cab for Cutie, Chaka Khan and deadmau5 during its first several months. Save HITS some chips and queso, won’t y'all?
