LEXI VAGANOS

LEXI VAGANOS

MANAGER, MARKETING, RCA RECORDS

Vaganos once jetted to Milan to shoot album content with Grammy-winner Cam—and later ran marketing for her latest, All Things Light. She’s since been in the mix on campaigns for Walker Hayes’ 17 Problems (including a “homecoming dance”–themed Nashville release party) and ATEEZ’s GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3. She was also part of the marketing team behind Sleep Token’s #1 Even in Arcadia and helped celebrate Buddy Guy’s 89th with #1 album Ain’t Done With the Blues. Prior to RCA, Vaganos was Olivia Rodrigo’s personal assistant. She’s used to ignoring our emails.

CHARLIE GLVOER

CHARLIE GLVOER

SR. DIRECTOR, GLOBAL LABEL AND ARTIST MARKETING, VIRGIN MUSIC GROUP

Glover’s standout career moment was spending two weeks touring Europe with David Kushner after his global hit “Daylight” blew up. Along the way, he DJ’d on Late Night with David Letterman in 2011, interviewed Mariah Carey for her annual holiday campaign and organized an international promo trip for LL COOL J. Lately, he’s been focused on the global marketing campaign for Mt. Joy’s album Hope We Have Fun, featuring his favorite track “Lucy.” Glover, a three-time runner-up in Red Bull’s 3style DJ battles, strongly wishes we had a mute button.

TAYLOR "TIMBITS" CUNNINGHAM

TAYLOR "TIMBITS" CUNNINGHAM

SR. DIRECTOR CREATIVE & MARKETING, THE CORE ENTERTAINMENT

Cunningham lives for the “firsts,” from Opry debuts to album drops, and recently checked another off the list: watching the F1 race in Montreal on a brand trip with Josh Ross. She’s been steering major album rollouts for Bailey Zimmerman (8/8) and Ross (9/19), including a 15k-person party for Zimmerman at Boots & Hearts Fest. She’s also backing rising acts like Brandon Wisham, Hannah McFarland, Just Jayne and Anna Graves. Known as “Timbits” (like the donut holes) since her Universal Music Canada days, she’s sweet, consistent and best served by the dozen. We’re in a carb-loading coma.

SAM JOHNSON

SAM JOHNSON

COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST, AEG PRESENTS

Johnson’s gig taken him from standing front and center for Elton John at Dodger Stadium to catching Lupe Fiasco and Danny Brown at Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Fest alongside the Birdman himself. These days, the comms specialist is focused on securing coverage for Portola, San Francisco’s genre-smashing fest from 9/20-21 featuring LCD Soundsystem, The Chemical Brothers and Christina Aguilera. Oh, and he just won Best Screenplay at Montreal’s Fantasia Fest for Terrestrial, a dark comedy-thriller he co-wrote. We’ve got third-act problems.

JEN HAMMEL

JEN HAMMEL

AGENT, CAA

Hammel once unknowingly spent a dinner chatting with half of Daft Punk—only realizing it after. She’s also returned Ozzy Osbourne’s glasses (he was grateful) and caught three of Prince’s intimate 2014 London sets from side stage. She recently saw Marlon Hoffstadt play to 20k at a sold-out Belgian beach party. Hammel reps boundary-pushers like Sara Landry, Hoffstadt and Malugi—artists whose careers (and values) are soaring. Landry’s sold 200k+ tickets on her Eternalism tour, while the guys turn down non-diverse lineups. She’s got prodigious kickboxing skills. Note taken.

CLARK ADLER

CLARK ADLER

DIRECTOR OF A&R, SONY MUSIC PUBLISHING

For Long Beach native Adler, who grew up worshipping artists like Sublime, nothing tops working with the next wave of songwriters, shaping today’s music culture and being part of the industry. Presently, he’s got his hands full with a roster that includes Alex Warren, Myles Smith, Malcolm Todd, Fcukers, Saya Gray, Jesse Fink, Eli Teplin, Joe Reeves and Chezile, among others. His latest bold call? The Baltimore Ravens will win the Super Bowl. Guess we’re not the only ones making bizarre predictions.

GRACE GASKINS

GRACE GASKINS

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING, ARISTA

Gaskins helped turn Paul Russell’s “Lil Boo Thang” into an 840m-streaming, double-platinum juggernaut—and is still driving the campaign, fresh off his L.A. bakery event for new single “Carat Cake.” This fall, she’s steering launches for Cincinnati rapper Skylar Blatt, indie-pop riser Tiger La Flor and Brooklyn’s Lola Brooke, whose “Don’t Play with It” and “You” have gone platinum and gold, respectively. Off-hours, she’s training for her first adult tennis league with the Altadena Bears. The only thing we get served is cease-and-desist letters.

TOMMY MEAD

TOMMY MEAD

SR. MANAGER PHYSICAL SALES & PRODUCTION, EMPIRE

Mead stumbled upon a Larry June vinyl LP he designed in a Tokyo record shop—a full-circle moment for the record collector turned physical-product guru. Working on and releasing the Curren$y Pilot Talk box set was another career high, as he’d grown up a fan of the rapper. Now he’s behind flashy wax drops from the likes of G-DRAGON, Shaboozey, Larry June & Cardo, The Alchemist, Rochelle Jordan, Red Leather, Ramirez and more. He once played catch with Jerry Rice as a kid. We recently got a balled-up story draft into the bin on the first try.
