MEL CURLEY

MEL CURLEY

HEAD OF INDIES LABEL RELATIONS, AMAZON MUSIC

Curley helped make Amazon Music history with record-breaking livestreams from Justice at Accor Arena in Paris and TWICE on Amazon Music Live—the platform’s first K-pop performance and most-viewed show to date. She also staged a Phoenix set inside the Louvre (yes, that Louvre). She’s now focused on championing indie artists through Studio126 in NYC and L.A., while cementing Amazon Music as a pillar of independent culture. Curley’s trying to finish the World Major Marathons; she’s run 11 so far. We get our steps in by speedwalking between the couch and the fridge.

NANDY MASON

NANDY MASON

TALENT EXECUTIVE, MUSIC + CULTURE BOOKING, SPOTIFY

Mason’s booked Camila Cabello for three NYC events in one day, secured Tyla, Shaboozey and John Legend for Cannes and high-fived Alex Warren into his Cannes debut, to name a few. She’s also landed Doechii for RapCaviar, swapped clown-shoe takes with Teddy Swims and booked talent for Nas’ podcast, The Bridge. Mason’s excited to be working on several Spotify tentpoles that celebrate the impact and artistry of some of the most influential names in music and culture. She once hit a three-pointer at a Drake show. We make the roaring-crowd sound when our rejected drafts land in the circular file.

RYAN SOROKA

RYAN SOROKA

VP, WASSERMAN MUSIC

Soroka will never forget being called onstage to dance with Cimafunk during his historic Coachella set—the first by a Cuban-born artist. Now, he’s helping build out the artist’s Cimafest concept with upcoming editions planned in Miami and New Orleans. He’s also crafting the 2026 touring strategy for rising Spanish artist Guitarricadelafuente, following the buzz of his breakout single “Spanish Leather.” Soroka once managed and played on an NYC music biz softball team called Home Run the Jewels. The HITS team is called The Unforced Errors.

CAT LAZARRA

CAT LAZARRA

SENIOR INTERNATIONAL MARKETING MANAGER, EMPIRE

Lazarra led the international marketing campaign for Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which was the biggest independently released single of 2024 and is now a multi-platinum global smash that has hit #1 in multiple territories, earned a BRIT nom and led to a Glastonbury set this summer. More recently, the EMPIRE exec’s been busy working on releases from Black Sherif (Iron Boy), Gabzy x Fireboy DML (“So Much Sense”), BNXN (CAPTAIN) and Tiwa Savage (This One Is Personal). Cat’s cat is named Kenny, after Kendrick Lamar. Our gerbil is named after our Uncle Morton.

VICTORIA CAPPELLI

VICTORIA CAPPELLI

SR. DIGITAL MARKETING DIRECTOR, GLOBAL TOURING, AEG PRESENTS

Cappelli started at AEG in Nashville eight years ago on Kelsea Ballerini’s first headlining club tour; this year, she helped helm Ballerini’s first sold-out arena run. She’s since supported major tours from BLACKPINK, Kacey Musgraves and Elton John. Now focused on more personalized fan journeys, Cappelli helped sell out two Jon Bellion shows by super-serving his core fans and is working with Megan Moroney’s team to deepen engagement on her Am I Okay? tour. Cappelli’s paper airplane skills once landed her in the school paper. Bet she wishes she’d flown past this feature.

PARKER MAASS

PARKER MAASS

MARKETING DIRECTOR, THREE SIX ZERO/FORWARD MOTION ARTISTS

From sneaking into Jamie Jones sets as a teen to launching the DJ’s first-ever festival this summer in London, Maass has come full circle. The marketing ace is also behind major Ibiza residencies, including Jamie Jones’ Paradise at the new UNVRS, Bedouin’s Saga, Francis Mercier’s Solèy and Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream North American run with stops at venues like Golden Gate Park, among others. He co-founded the Chinatown-based secret party DISCOTHEKE—where Uffie, Mayer Hawthorne and Anabel Englund have pulled up unannounced. Our invitation must’ve gotten lost in the ether.

IZZY PARRELL

IZZY PARRELL

DIRECTOR OF STREAMING & DIGITAL PARTNERSHIPS, 444 SOUNDS

Parrell will never forget helping launch Apple Music’s Viral Hits playlist, which kicked off with Addison Rae before her album dropped. She also contributed to the 100 Best Albums project and once previewed Paris Hilton’s unreleased album at Hilton’s house. At 444 Sounds, she’s got her hands full working on releases from Tyga, Junior Varsity, Michaela Jaé and more, as well as drops from LIZ Y2K & SOPHIE, Leo Waters and The Amours, among others. Parrell’s a former ski racer. We’re unsteady even on paved surfaces.

GRIFFIN PERKIEL

GRIFFIN PERKIEL

MUSIC AGENT, INDEPENDENT ARTIST GROUP

A Park City native who started in the mailroom (and sometimes at the front desk), Perkiel has come a long way in 10 years—he’s now signing top-tier acts and routing them through global tours and major festivals. At IAG, he reps the likes of Two Feet, The Knocks, BØRNS, Iann Dior, Cheat Codes, rising country star Abby Anderson and NYC twin-DJ duo MC4D, whom he scouted on SoundCloud. Perkiel really loves what he does. Until he sees us on the caller ID.
