SALXCO'S "BLINDING" STATS

July 17, 2025

SALXCO has become one of the heavyweight management houses in the biz by repping megastar The Weeknd as well as such chart-dominating acts as Metro Boomin and Ty Dolla $ign and breakouts like buzzing global artist Hanumankind.

The company was founded by Wassim “Sal” Slaiby, who began managing The Weeknd in 2011. Five years later, SALXCO was part of the Live Nation management roll-up, through which Sal oversaw the careers of French Montana, Doja Cat, Bebe Rexha and Nicki Minaj.

Longtime exec Lindsay Unwin was upped to CEO of the firm earlier this year. She tapped Manny Dion and Ryan Ramsey as co-presidents.

The Weeknd, as our regular readers well know, has had another mind-boggling year; he’s in the midst of a global stadium tour in support of XO/Republic album Hurry Up Tomorrow, which bowed at #1, with 450k+ in activity, and spawned smash single “Timeless,” now nearing 1b in global Spotify streams.

A 2021 Super Bowl halftime show (which snagged an Emmy) expanded the already tremendous reach of the artist born Abel Tesfaye, whose 2020 single “Blinding Lights” has amassed an insane 4.9 billion global Spotify streams. He has no fewer than 27 songs with more than a billion streams on the platform.

Metro Boomin, meanwhile, has hit #1 on the album chart with Not All Heroes Wear Capes and Heroes & Villains (via Boominati/Republic) and been named Variety’s Hitmakers Producer of the Year. His two albums with Future, We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You, were also blockbusters. Metro has multiple tracks with more than 1b worldwide Spotify streams—not to mention a who’s who of guest rappers—and remains one of the most influential producers in hip-hop.

The 2024 set Vultures gave Ty Dolla $ign a #1 chart debut, led by #1 single “Carnival,” which earned a stunning 763m+ Spotify streams.

The team also helped fuel the rise of Indian rapper Hanumankind, whose “Big Dawgs” became a viral giant and is closing in on half a billion global Spotify streams.

With a forward-looking leadership team and top managers promoted from within, SALXCO continues to build a company culture based on scale, creativity and longevity.
