A pair of dreamy Brits, both reared on U.K. singing competition shows, are lighting up today’s Spotify tallies.
Welshman Jamie Miller got his start on The Voice U.K. back in 2017, but it wasn’t until TikTok discovered his “Babydoll” track that a dance craze, and hit record, was born. The effervescent “Babydoll” (Republic), already #1 in the U.K., moves up 28 places to #28 on Spot global and a gobsmacking 62 spots to #69 U.S. Mae hynny'n anhygoel, as they say back in Cardiff.
As for onetime X Factor contestant Harry Styles, let’s say everything is coming up roses. His blockbuster 30-night Madison Square Garden residency is wrapping on “Harryween,” and the fourth single from Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., the waltz-like “Coming Up Roses” (Columbia), has bloomed on the charts, reaching new peaks of #51 global (up 29 spots) and #53 U.S. (up 56).
