Spot Check: Deck the Charts With Lots of O-Rod
(Lizzie Klein)
Christmas has come early for Olivia Rodrigo.
The Interscope megastar is currently in the midst of an all-time heater (and that’s before she hears her name multiple times when Grammy noms are announced on Nov. 16).
Her smash album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, is about to spend its fourth non-consecutive week at #1, thanks in part to the supercharged remix of “expectations” with her pal Chappell Roan. Her wildly successful Unraveled tour (Live Nation, WME) will pull into L.A.’s Intuit Dome and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for 10 shows each in early 2027, setting records in both venues. And her new insta-classic Christmas jam, “take me home (4 christmas),” written with fellow Grammy winners Amy Allen and Dan Nigro, is just one of a mind-bending 10 songs in the Spotify U.S. Top 200; “stupid song” sits smartly at #5, “take me home” is housed at #8, “the cure” is a healthy #10, “expectations” 2.0 is #22… you get the picture.
Rodrigo even proudly backed now-governor-elect Amy Acton at her Oct. 29-30 Columbus, Ohio, concerts, wearing an Acton T-shirt onstage the first night and presenting Acton with flowers on the arena Jumbotron during the second.
Everything’s coming up daisies for O-Rod.
