Spooktacular Spot Check: All Hallows' Eve Eve Edition

October 30, 2026

Spotify is creepin’ it real.

Spooky season is well underway on the DSP, with the boo-sual suspects mixed in with some boo-comers. (OK, we’ll pump[kin] the brakes on the ghoulish puns.)

Michael Jackson’s deathless “Thriller” (Epic) is #10 on today’s Spot U.S., followed closely (because, you know, zombies are slow) by Ray Parker Jr.’s “Ghostbusters” (Arista/Legacy) at #15 and “This Is Halloween” (Walt Disney) by The Citizens of Halloween (aka Danny Elfman) at #21.

“Spooky Scary Skeletons,” by Andrew Gold (of “Thank You for Being a Friend” fame), jumps a bone-rattling 114 places to #63, while Tame Impala’s “Dracula” (Columbia) flaps its wings at #64 and Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me” (Uni/Motown) eyeballs a #79 placement.

Finally, if you still need some Halloween-costume inspo, we bring you Al Roker as Sammy Davis Jr. and Lady Gaga as an oh-shit-I-forgot-a-costume-I’ll-just-grab-this-hotel-bedsheet ghost.

We now return you to neurotically refreshing your feed for Harry Enten updates. What, just us?
