The Freshmaker: Spotify's Fresh Finds Summit Launches in L.A.

November 3, 2026

In September Spotify expanded its signature Fresh Finds playlist with Fresh Finds Forward, a program designed to provide 10,000 emerging indie acts with the resources to build their careers. On Nov. 4 and 5, the inaugural FFF class will head to Los Angeles for the Fresh Finds Summit, two days of master classes and conversations with industry insiders led by John Legend, songwriter-producer-OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder and María Zardoya, whose band The Marías was a Spotify Fresh Find.

Joe Hadley, Spotify's global head of music content and partnerships, said, "A Fresh Finds placement can be the moment an artist gets heard for the first time. The summit brings Fresh Finds Forward to life in person, with two days of real, practical guidance from artists and industry leaders who've built lasting careers, shared with artists at a pivotal moment in their own."

The Fresh Finds Summit will present sessions covering songwriting, music creation, touring, team building and maintaining mental health (with filmed sessions available on the program site). Attendees will also receive feedback on their original music by a community of their peers.

The only thing fresh about HITS is… Well, nothing, come to think of it. Though before we were canceled the first time, there was that accusation of getting fresh.

In related jokes of questionable merit, try saying “Fresh Finds Forward” five times fast.
