Stairway to HAVEN.: Behind the Breakout Hit "I Run"

“I Run,” the debut single by mysterious U.K. act HAVEN., is off to a sizzling start.

The U.K. garage track, written and performed by Harrison Walker, aka HAVEN., has quickly exploded onto the charts, ascending to #11 on Spotify U.S. and #25 globally on the strength of more than 110m TikTok views—no small feat for a brand new artist.

“I Run” unites two London labels: Isekai Records, the U.K. indie powerhouse led by Ewan Jenkins and Jack Mangan, and Against All Odds, Dean Stalham’s dance imprint. The collaboration operates under a joint venture with broke records, overseen by Andre Benz and Brandon De Oliveira, and Create Music Group co-founders Jonathan Strauss and Alex Williams. Got all that? The release marks another win for the Isekai/broke partnership following last year’s breakout success with NDotz’s “Embrace It."

And if you're wondering whose female voice that is on "I Run," we're told it's actually Walker's own, run through layers of processing and filtering.
