SMP Nigeria Welcomes Songwriter/Rapper LADIPOE to the Fam

Sony Music Publishing Nigeria has signed LADIPOE to a publishing agreement, which includes his catalog and all future works. The Nigerian songwriter/artist is well known in the African rap scene thanks to several notable releases, including “Know You” f/Simi, “Feeling” f/BNXN, “Running” f/Fireboy DML, “No Level” f/Pa Salieu and “Big Energy.” His latest album, REVIVAL, arrived in July.

SMP Nigeria Director A&R and Operations Uzor Daniel shared, “The signing of LADIPOE is part of our continued commitment at Sony Music Publishing to partner with and invest in exceptional African songwriters and artists whose creativity has the power to transcend borders.”

LADIPOE has won multiple Headie Awards (think Nigerian Grammys) in categories like Best Rap Single and Best Collaboration. He also received a BET Hip Hop Award nom for Best International Flow earlier this year. We earned an award for most flapjacks scarfed down while stoned at an International House of Pancakes.
