REPUBLIC PLUGGS IN WITH MEXIKODRO DEAL

"As anyone who knows me is well aware," said Republic's Jim Roppo, "I'm the world's biggest fan of the 'plugg' subgenre of trap. I just won't shut up about it! So I'm thrilled to announce that we have signed a true plugg trailblazer, artist-producer MexikoDro, and I am overjoyed to appear in this memorable photo op, which I'm sure will get a humorous caption."

We kid, but MexikoDro is behind big records by the likes of Drake, Playboi Carti and Kodak Black and is now making waves with his own jams. Seen wishing they could unplugg us permanently are, from left, attorney John Rose, Roppo, MexikoDro, the label's Marleny Reyes and manager Jamaar "Woah" Martin.
