As expected, Miley Cyrus is headed to Atlantic Records.

HITS can confirm that Cyrus has officially landed at the Warner Music Group label in a deal spearheaded by EVP and Co-Head of Pop A&R Brandon Davis and label CEO Elliot Grainge. Rolling Stone first reported the signing.

The move ends Cyrus' five-year stint at Columbia, where she released Endless Summer Vacation and Something Beautiful and earned her first Grammy wins in 2024, including Record of the Year for the smash single “Flowers.”

The signing gives Grainge’s Atlantic another marquee superstar as the label continues to reload its frontline pop roster. Cyrus remains managed by Crush Management; sources indicate her mom, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, was very involved in the Atlantic signing.

Word is that new music is already in the pipeline, with a lead single and album likely arriving in the fourth quarter, featuring collaborators Kid Harpoon, Maxx Morando and Michael Pollack. Will Cyrus use the Sept. 27 MTV Video Music Awards stage to unveil new material?

Cyrus hinted that she's entering a particularly inspired creative period, telling Wonderland in a story published Monday that songwriting feels like "crossing over to another side sometimes" and describing herself as feeling "aligned with my purpose, my power and my gifts."
