LAPOLT LAUNCHES MEDIA VENTURE WITH BOOK "STREET SMART," PODCAST "THE STILETTO ROOM"

February 6, 2025

Longtime legal expert and activist Dina LaPolt, whose practice boasts such clients as 21 Savage, Cardi B, Mary J. Blige, Tinashe and Offset, is broadening her horizons with a new venture called LaPolt Media. It will focus on “producing dynamic content that inspires, informs and amplifies the impactful.”

The Hollywood Reporter says LaPolt Media will get underway with Street Smart: Succeeding in a Man’s World, which Burman/G&D will publish on 10/7, and a podcast, The Stiletto Room, arriving this spring. LaPolt has appointed biz vet Samantha Gayle Bullock as chief media officer and executive producer of The Stiletto Room.

Endorsing Street Smart, no less than Joan Jett said, “Dina LaPolt is the embodiment of being ‘street smart’—fearless, innovative and unapologetically bold. Anyone looking to break through barriers and succeed, in even the toughest of industries, could learn a thing or two from her.”

LaPolt, who is a board member of the Neil Lasher Music Fund, which offers addiction support to industry personnel, was honored for her activism in the Black community with the inaugural BMAC Change Agent Award.

She told the Reporter that her law practice will remain her first priority, adding that she’s “building a platform to amplify the voices and visions that deserve to be heard.”

HITS has never been called “street smart,” but we have heard “roadkill” on occasion.
