SEX SELLS: JESSIE MURPH PLOTS NEW ALBUM
With her single "Blue Strips" currently ensconced in the Top 20 at Spotify U.S., Jessie Murph has set a 7/18 release date for her second Columbia LP, the awesomely titled Sex Hysteria.
The album will include "Touch Me Like a Gangster," which Murph premiered at the recent Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Show in Miami and which will hit DSPs on 6/6.
Album opener "Gucci Mane" paints a harrowing picture of Murph's upbringing: "I write songs about my father and the fucked-up shit he did/ But I take one out the chamber 'cause I'm learning to forgive."
The 4'11" (6'5 with bouffant), 20-year-old Alabama native is managed by Adam Alpert and Julie Leff at Disruptor. She's booked in a commission split in the U.S. by UTA's Nashville-based Jeffrey Hasson and CAA's L.A.-situated Cheryl Paglierani, and in Europe by Wasserman Music's Nick Matthews.
As "Blue Strips" continues to heat up, Murph's 2024 duet with Koe Wetzel, "High Road," is #58 on Spotify's domestic tally after more than 200 days on the chart, while earlier, Jelly Roll team-up "Wild Ones" has more than 294m such streams.
Murph will embark on the Worldwide Hysteria tour on 7/27 in Phoenix. Click here for the hysterically sexy details.
