FRIDAYY ADDS MORE PLATINUM TO HIS COLLECTION

Def Jam artist Fridayy was surprised over the weekend with a platinum plaque for his 2023 single "When It Comes to You," his first solo platinum certification. The celebratory moment took place backstage at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in NYC following his sold-out show. He was joined by Def Jam General Manager Tim Pithouse and the label's product manager, Terry LaSane.

Fridayy struck gold with his contribution to DJ Khaled's 2022 single "God Did," featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, JAY-Z and John Legend. His collaboration with Lil Baby that year, "Forever," earned platinum status in October 2023. His latest album, Some Days I'm Good Some Days I'm Not, arrived in February via Lost in Melody/Def Jam. As for HITS, we're used to being not good all the time.
