Sony Music Publishing Nashville, in partnership with TAYCAN Entertainment, has signed rising songwriter-producer Jared Conrad to a global publishing deal.
A platinum-certified producer and songwriter, Johnson contributed "Kid on Christmas," a duet between Pentatonix and Meghan Trainor, to the vocal group's Grammy-nominated Holidays Around the World album, but more often works with country and Americana artists. Recently, he's collaborated with Cody Johnson and Brothers Osborne on "Fool Proof," Gareth's "1000 Lifetimes," Ian Munsick's "Earn Your Spurs," Tyce Delk's "What Would You Do' and Aaron Loy's "Take It Easy Cowgirl," which topped the Texas Country Radio Chart. He also has projects with Stephen Wilson Jr., Mitchell Tenpenny and Tyler Braden on the horizon.
SMP Nashville CEO Rusty Gaston said, "Jared is an incredible talent whose versatility and creativity truly set him apart. His track record of success speaks volumes, and it feels like he's only scratched the surface. We're delighted to welcome him to Sony Music Publishing alongside our partners at TAYCAN."
Blake Duncan, partner at TAYCAN Entertainment, added, "TAYCAN is proud to team up with Sony Music Publishing and Jared to shine a light on his talent and strive to tee him up to be one of the top creatives in our industry."
We are known as one of the least creative in our industry.
