The Biggest House: Zach Sets U.S. Attendance Record

September 28, 2025

Warner's Zach Bryan broke a U.S. attendance record when he performed for 112,408 people at Ann Arbor's Michigan Stadium on Saturday night. The University of Michigan football stadium, commonly referred to as "The Big House," is the largest in the U.S. and the third biggest in the world.

George Strait previously held the record for a ticketed event when he played in front of 110,000 fans in College Station, Texas, in 2024.

The AEG Presents-produced event was the first-ever concert at the Big House. AEG CCO/Michigan alum Dennis Dennehy was able to facilitate a conversation between AEG President, Global Touring Rich Schaefer and Michigan Athletics Executive Senior Associate AD/COO Rob Rademacher. AEG SVP, Production Jonathan Baden pronounced the site viable after taking the stadium's measurements.

"Everybody kept saying they don't want to do shows, and not only did they not want to do shows, you can't do shows because the one tunnel that goes to the ground is too small," Schaefer told HITS. "However, NIL has brought a different level of interest from all the colleges, which have begun doing concerts because they need as much income as they can get. It’s expensive to pay athletes to come to your school."

Bryan, who released his latest album, The Great American Bar Scene, in July 2024, performed songs including "Revival," "Overtime," "I Remember Everything,” “Something in the Orange” and “Oklahoma Smokeshow."

He was joined by support acts John Mayer (for a cover of The Grateful Dead’s “Friend of the Devil”) and The War and Treaty for their 2023 collaboration, "Hey Driver," as part of the two-and-a-half hour set.

Ryan Bingham and The Texas Gentlemen and Joshua Slone also performed.

Toward the end of the show, Bryan told the crowd it was the "best night" of his life. It presumably helped that nobody from HITS was able to weasel their way inside.
