We told y’all back in September that CAA’s Tame Impala and Dua Lipa were locked as two of the three headliners for the 2027 edition of Coachella. Sources have now confirmed that SZA (booked by THE•TEAM) will occupy the final prime position on the poster.
The annual Goldenvoice behemoth will take place April 9-11 and 16-18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Tickets have been sold out since May.
SZA has been off-cycle since wrapping the massive Grand National tour with Kendrick Lamar last year and has made only a handful of live appearances since then, including surprise spots with Summer Walker and Don Toliver in June.
Tame Impala/Kevin Parker, managed by Spinning Top’s Jodie Regan and Good World’s Brandon Creed, reached new levels of mainstream visibility in the past year thanks to a sold-out AEG Presents arena tour and the worldwide smash hits “Dracula,” featuring JENNIE, and “Loser,” which got a major bounce from Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Tame Impala headlined Coachella in 2019 and also appeared in 2011, 2013 and 2015 at the Paul Tollett-reared fest. This will be Dua Lipa’s first full, solo set at the fete, following a 2017 guest appearance with Martin Garrix.
Goldenvoice actively pursued BTS, Miley Cyrus and Radiohead for headlining bookings, but it appears all three passed.
Meanwhile, if you ever dreamed of hearing Tame Impala do a faithful cover of Seal’s “Kiss From a Rose,” today is your lucky day.
