Miranda Suits Up for Salvation Army Red Kettle Kickoff

October 26, 2026

Miranda Lambert is going home for the holiday.

She’ll headline the 30th annual Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day Salvation Army Red Kettle Kickoff halftime show. This year’s contest, with the Philadelphia Eagles, airs live from AT&T Stadium on Fox at 3:30 p.m. CST.

The performance launches the Salvation Army’s 136th Red Kettle Campaign, which has helped raise more than $3.4b over the past three decades.

“There’s something special about how music brings people together, especially when it’s to spread joy and hope to families who need it most,” Lambert said. “The Salvation Army and the Dallas Cowboys have built an incredible tradition with the Red Kettle Kickoff, and I can’t wait to be back home in Texas this Thanksgiving to help carry it forward.”

Crisco (Vanner/MCA), the new album from the Longview-born, Lindale-bred artist, opened earlier this month at #19 on the HITS Top 50. Lambert co-wrote Ella Langley’s record-breaking smash “Choosin’ Texas” and featured the supernova on Crisco opener “Snakeskin Boots.”

The Cowboys' Thanksgiving halftime show began kicking off the Salvation Army’s signature outreach in 1997, with Reba McEntire headlining. The lineup has since included Destiny’s Child, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers and Lainey Wilson. Last year, Post Malone took the stage.

The Red Kettle drive supports The Salvation Army’s year-round work in communities nationwide, with donations staying in the communities in which they are made.
