Los Producers Returns to Latin Grammy Week
Sebastian Krys
Los Producers, a party and concert benefit thrown by the Latin Recording Academy’s Circle of Producers and Engineers (CPI), is returning to Latin Grammy Week. The event will benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and honor Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning producer Sebastián Krys, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2019.
Krys will produce the program, which will feature a rotating cast of performers, including nominated artists Juanes, Mon Laferte, FABIAN, Fonseca, Yami Safdie, Dany from The Warning and many more. This is also the event where you get to see if your publisher or label prez really has those guitar chops you’ve heard about.
“Los Producers has been one of the greatest blessings of my life,” says Krys. “It’s one of those initiatives where everyone truly wins. I would love for this event to one day be regarded in the same way as Clive Davis’ party. The Michael J. Fox Foundation has raised more than $3b to advance Parkinson’s research and the fight against the disease, and this is our way of making a small contribution from our corner of the world.”
Since his diagnosis, Krys has continued to work on projects for Juanes, Jorge Drexler, Luis Fonsi and more.
“Sebastián has spent his career bringing people together through music, and through Los Producers, he’s bringing that same grit and spirit of collaboration to the Parkinson’s community,” said Debi Brooks, CEO and co-founder of The Michael J. Fox Foundation. “We’re grateful to Sebastián, BMI and The Latin Recording Academy for their generosity and helping us engage more people and families in our mission toward a world without Parkinson’s.”
