Local resident John C. Reilly hosted A Concert for Altadena Wednesday. Headlined by Dawes & Friends, the event raised more than $450,000 for the Altadena Builds Back Foundation, a partner of the Pasadena Community Foundation.
The sold-out show, which transpired at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, saw performances by, among others, The Killers’ Brandon Flowers, Brad Paisley, Mandy Moore, Jenny Lewis, Ozomatli, Everclear, Aloe Blacc, Rufus Wainwright, Black Eyed Peas’ Taboo, Lord Huron and Lucius.
Meanwhile, a chance to win Gibson and Fender guitars signed by the artists is being hosted by Fandiem; bids can be placed here.
“A Concert for Altadena was meaningful on many levels,” said Altadena Builds Back Executive Director Jennifer DeVoll. “The evening brought our community together through music and shared purpose, while the generosity it inspired will have a lasting impact on our recovery efforts.”
We hear Reilly touched at least one drum set.
