Q Prime's John Peets
What was the first concert you ever attended?
In August 1982, my parents took me to see the Michael Stanley Band at Blossom Music Center outside Cleveland. The band did four sold-out shows in six days. My mom cut hair in our house, and a member of the band, Kevin Raleigh, was one of her customers.
You can go back in time and see any concert. Whom would you see and when?
Live Aid, Wembley Stadium, 1985.
Name a manager not at your company whom you admire.
Shep Gordon. As if managing Alice Cooper’s career isn’t enough, the variety of things he accomplished both inside and outside the music space are remarkable.
You’re made czar of the concert industry. What’s the first thing you’d change?
If I had a magic wand, I would make ticket-buying frictionless and equitable.
