The Core's Simon Tikhman

What was the first concert you ever attended?

Eric Clapton at the San Jose Arena when I was 14 years old.

You can go back in time and see any concert. Whom would you see and when?

Michael Jackson, Bad world tour in the ‘80s.

Name a manager not in your company whom you admire.

Geoff Ogunlesi. This guy does business the right way. Always. Puts his artists first and the way he stood next to Young Thug through the most trying time of his career and personal life shows what kind of manager he is. This guy runs through brick walls for his clients. Fun fact about Geoff: secretly loves country music!

What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?

There are no more verticals. Everything is connected. Early on when we started The Core, Michael Rapino told us his priority is always managers.
