What was the first concert you ever attended?

Eminem’s Anger Management tour at Milton Keynes Bowl in 2003. Cypress Hill and Xzibit supported and D12 and 50 Cent were guests. The scale of it completely blew me away. The stage design was especially memorable, it was a fairground theme and Eminem started the show by entering on a giant ferris wheel. It motivated me to pursue a career working in or around live music.

You can go back in time and see any concert. Whom would you see and when?

Queen sometime in the ‘80s.

What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?

The biggest change has been driven by how people consume music now. Managing an artist has become a lot less cyclical. With the rise of streaming and social media, great music, whether new or old, can be discovered at any moment. This has made catalogue more valuable than ever, and so alongside new music campaigns, managers need to be thinking continually and holistically about an artist’s entire body of work.
