Q Prime's Trina Lüth
What was the first concert you ever attended?
It was the MTV era and I was obsessed with all the British acts. My sister and some friends managed to get a car and drive all the way to a Jai Alai center in Milford, Connecticut to see Adam and the Ants.
Name a manager not in your company whom you admire.
Chris Woltman. I got to know him through my husband when we went to Italy with him and Twenty One Pilots. The band’s computers got stolen the day before a massive gig, and the calm, grace and leadership he used to navigate that unimaginable chaos was remarkable. I remember thinking how lucky his band was to have him at the wheel.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Marthe Reynolds, who was at Island Def Jam at the time, told me, “Trina, you have got to be here for the music, period. The executives, the hustle isn’t going to take care of you when you are sick or when you get old, but the music will.”
