What was the first concert you ever attended?

My parents took me to see Bonnie Raitt when I was really little, but the first one I remember was The Spice Girls in 1998 at the Riverport Amphitheatre outside of St. Louis.

You can go back in time and see any concert. Whom would you see and when?

Does everyone say The Beatles? The Beatles. Any show, but it would have been very cool to witness the 1969 Apple rooftop performance. What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?

There is a lot more pressure on artists now to do more. More content, more social media, more promo, more virality. As managers, we need to be experts in these emerging areas and come to the table with lots of ideas. But perhaps most importantly, we have to be protective of our artists’ time and capacity, ensuring there is enough downtime for them to feel inspired to make music.

Name a manager not in your company whom you admire.

I have a lot of respect for the late Martin Kirkup. I worked with him on Adam Lambert and later Katy Perry when I was a young marketing director on the label side. He was so collaborative and kind, and always made everyone in the room feel like their ideas and opinions mattered.

You’re made czar of the concert industry. What’s the first thing you’d change?

I don’t think this would be popular, but as a working mom to two little kids, I’d make shows start earlier. Are matinees an option?
