Deep Roots' Dylan Wright

You can go back in time and see any concert. Whom would you see and when?

Being from Michigan, I’d have to say Bob Seger in Detroit in the late ’70s, when The Silver Bullet Band was at their peak. The raw energy and hometown pride would’ve been unforgettable.

Name a manager not in your company whom you admire.

Cody Payne. He’s crushing it with the Red Clay Strays, staying true to his family and faith, and carving out a path that opens doors across genres.

Describe your all-time photo, memento or tchotchke from your job.

A Flatland Cavalry photo taken outside our first bus with our first driver and a lean touring crew. Sitting up front is Charles Banks, one of the best human beings I’ve ever met. Also pictured are Jake Teague, who was running FOH at the time and really elevated how the band was perceived live; Art Portillo, who helped shape the merch side; and Fernando, who has been capturing the moments fans see to this day. The photo captures everything Flatland was, is and will be: good people doing our absolute best to make a small difference.
