What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?

When I started, an artist could break largely on the strength of industry buzz, PR and the music itself. Today, the biggest shift is the level of influence fans hold in shaping an artist’s trajectory. Managers have to be far more attentive to audience behavior—identifying what fans are connecting with and strategically amplifying those moments.
