What was the first concert you ever attended?
Alanis Morissette with the Goo Goo Dolls at the Coca-Cola Starplex in Dallas, 1996. My dad’s college roommate ran ProMark drumsticks, so we sat in the first or second row. I fell asleep about 20 minutes into her set and my dad immediately regretted bringing an 8-year-old.
You can go back in time and see any concert. Whom would you see and when?
Tough one, but probably Led Zeppelin in the 1970s or Phish in the mid-’90s.
You’re made czar of the concert industry. What’s the first thing you’d change?
No ticketing fees!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Do you know what’s cooler than a million dollars? Saying no to a million dollars.”
