What was the first concert you ever attended?

Boyz II Men. Next and Destiny’s Child (the original four members) were support. Destiny’s came out to the arena lobby to take photos with fans. I still have the Polaroid with them and my three girlfriends.

What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?

Managers are no longer “managing” their artists; we are now partners and strategists in executing their artistic visions and navigating their businesses and careers.

You’re made czar of the concert industry. What’s the first thing you’d change?

Artists should get cut in on the additional revenue—food and beverage, etc.—the venue earns the nights of their shows.
