Grammy Nominees : Laufey, Miranda Lambert, Lara Raj (KATSEYE), The Marias
Our next batch of Grammy hopefuls is on the cusp of greatness, so it’s only right that they are forced—we mean, encouraged—to answer a couple of questions.
Laufey
Besides yourself, of course, who will you be rooting for on Grammy night?
Katseye! Representation matters and they are such an important inspiration for young girls to have, and I'm very grateful to call them friends. It was such an honor having them perform with me at my Crypto.com Arena show last month.

Miranda Lambert
Grammys aside, name an award or honor you've won that means the most to you.
Getting my first CMA Female Vocalist of the Year award was special, because Loretta Lynn presented it to me. She was one of my biggest heroes. She blazed the trail for me and for all of us females in country music. Any time you receive an honor like that, especially early in your career, it makes you want to keep showing up and work even harder.

What’s your all-time-favorite Grammy moment, either as a participant or a viewer?
I actually went to the Grammys twice, once with my sister Rhea when I was 10 and then in 2022. I’ve never been a big country music listener, but I saw Chris Stapleton perform “Cold” in 2022 and it made me fall in love with the genre. And watching at home, Lady Gaga at the 2011 Grammys with the iconic egg and “Born This Way” performance.—Lara Raj
The Marías
What’s your all-time-favorite Grammy moment, either as a participant or a viewer?
Kendrick Lamar’s opening performance in 2018. Maybe my favorite live TV performance of all time.—Josh Conway
Joni Mitchell performing “Both Sides Now” in 2024.—Edward James
Radiohead performing “15 Step” at the 2009 Grammys with the USC Trojan Marching Band. (Josh and I were randomly there in the audience.)—Jesse Perlman
