HITS Grammy Special Pt. 2

Grammy Nominees: Shaboozey, Nicki Nicole, HAIM, Kehlani

December 30, 2025

It can’t be all couture fittings and champagne toasts for this year’s exalted Grammy nominees. They also have to put up with mishegas like this…

  • Shaboozey

Besides yourself, of course, who will you be openly rooting for on Grammy night?

Charley Crockett. He put out an incredible project, and he represents this new age of country that feels rooted and soulful but still fresh. He’s carrying the tradition forward in his own way, and it’s dope to see.

  • Nicki Nicole

How does it feel being the only woman nominated for Best Música Urbana Album?

On one hand, I feel incredibly proud, because I’m representing many female artists who have been working hard for years. On the other hand, it reminds me that there’s still a long way to go, that we need more women here, because there’s plenty of talent. I’m happy to be nominated, but I also dream of the category being full of women in the coming years.

  • HAIM

What stands out most about the process of recording I QUIT?

We loved recording at Valentine Studios in the Valley—it’s right down the street from where we grew up. There’s a special kind of magic in that room, and everything we made there just leaps out of the speakers.

  • Kehlani

What stands out most about the process of recording “Folded”?

It happened so naturally. We never planned on it being a single. It turned into something bigger than we expected.
