You can go back in time and see any concert. Whom would you see and when?

Led Zeppelin, at one of their Earls Court shows in 1975. Ask me again and it's the Monterey Pop Festival in '67, Hendrix at Woodstock '69, The Beatles at The Gator Bowl (Jacksonville) in '64. But mostly, it would have been Elvis in Macon, Georgia in 1972. My mom lied to my grandmother that she was going out somewhere else and went to see Elvis at 17 years old. That's the show I want to be at.

What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?

Growing up with cassettes and then CDs, I would argue the digital revolution is the biggest change for artists, management, labels and consumers to continue to manage.

Name a manager not in your company whom you admire.

Peter Grant. He put the artists first, he fought on their behalf for what they deserved and he didn't take "no" for an answer.

You’re made czar of the concert industry. What’s the first thing you’d change?

Give more comp tickets out for artist holds. We all want to make money, but a handful of artist comps for a 15,000-seat arena show hurts the artist if they have to turn around and buy more at face value to cover their needs.
