What was the first concert you ever attended?

The La’s/Eat/The Trashcan Sinatras at The Town & Country Club (now The Forum) in Kentish Town, London. It was 1990. I had just turned 16 and a very cool girl came up to me and said my hair was just like Stephen’s. She meant Morrissey—at the time that was quite the compliment!

You can go back in time and see any concert. Whom would you see and when?

I would love to see an Axis: Bold as Love-era Hendrix show or a Sticky Fingers-era Stones show with Mick Taylor on guitar. Something in a smallish venue, around 2k in size, would be great!

What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?

The move from a command-and-control style to one that’s more about coaching and empowerment. Instead of just giving orders, today’s managers focus on supporting their teams—helping people grow, feel valued and take ownership of their work. It’s the same idea that drove me to start Dirty Hit: I wanted to invest, both financially and emotionally, in artists to help them build sustainable, culturally meaningful careers, not just short-term success.

Name a manager not in your company whom you admire.

Mike Ahern. He’s built an incredible career for Clairo while keeping her creativity fully protected.
