Michael Jackson at Wembley, summer of ’88, the year I was born.

What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?

The shift towards prioritizing an artist’s mental and physical well-being. When I came into the business over 15 years ago, this wasn’t a large part of the conversation. The pace was relentless, the pressure was glamorized and burnout was accepted as part of the job. Now, there’s a growing awareness that artists are humans first. It’s not just about career wins anymore; it’s about helping artists feel safe, supported and protected along the way.

Name a manager not in your company whom you admire.

Jimmy Buffett’s longtime manager, Mike Ramos. From the time I was very young, Mike was a mentor to me. He was always positive, always happy and he always picked up the phone no matter how busy he was. His approach to life and work was full of joy and generosity, and that left a lasting impact on me.
