Jessica Simpson at Summerfest in Milwaukee, summer of 2004, in her early 2000s prime. I was 13 and an avid viewer of MTV’s Newlyweds.

What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?

Data has become king, for better or worse. It’s an incredible tool that helps us work smarter and focus on what’s actually moving the needle. But it’s also made trusting your gut a lot harder. And that’s where the magic often is, when you lean into weird ideas and creative hunches.
