5B's Brad Fuhrman

Name a manager not in your company whom you admire.

I've never actually had the chance to meet him, but John Silva is someone I've never heard a bad thing about and I’ve always admired from afar. I remember emailing Silva Artist Management about a summer internship when I was in college and getting a quick reply that same day. It stuck with me all these years that John took the time to respond.

Describe your all-time-favorite photo, memento or tchotchke from your job.

When I worked at Sanctuary Artist Management with Carl Stubner, who co-manages Fleetwood Mac, I had the opportunity to bring my wife to a private friends-and-family rehearsal. And we left with a pair of Mick Fleetwood drumsticks to boot!

What’s the single biggest change in a manager’s responsibilities since you started in the biz?

So much is being driven, created and steered by artists and managers. I remember when 5B hired our first "digital" person years ago and that felt progressive at the time. Artists are creating more content than ever and we need to have the team in place to support them with everything they want to do.
