BANDLAB, D4VD BRING "WITHERED" TO LIFE AT NYC POP-UP

20-year-old Houston artist d4vd has made much of his music with the help of the digital-audio workstation app BandLab, and to celebrate the #12 HITS Top 50 debut of his first Darkroom/Interscope album, WITHERED, the company recently staged a three-day pop-up at The White Room in New York's Union Square.

Fans were treated to a surprise acoustic performance by the artist, as well as a workshop during which he demonstrated how he uses BandLab to create tracks and a livestream viewing party of a 4/27 hometown concert.

Attendees also gazed at d4vd's outfits and a re-creation of the closet where he first began recording music using BandLab’s tech. HITS wanted to jam with BandLab Technologies founder Meng Ru Kuok, but he said he was "busy."

Along with the release of WITHERED, d4vd has seen his 2024 track "Feel It" rocket back up DSP charts; it's currently #34 at Spotify U.S.
