At the Oct. 14 world premiere of Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning at L.A.’s Orpheum Theatre, Billy Morrison, a guitarist, singer and recording artist known for his work with Billy Idol and The Cult, presented Sharon Osbourne with an Official Charts award recognizing the Top 10 double-A-side vinyl single “Gods of Rock N Roll”/“Crack Cocaine” (TLG | ZOID/Virgin Music Group)—both songs, written by Morrison, Ozzy Osbourne and longtime Idol guitarist Steve Stevens, feature Ozzy and Stevens.

“Gods of Rock N Roll” and “Crack Cocaine” were Ozzy’s final two studio performances. He reportedly recorded his vocals for “Crack Cocaine” in late 2023 or early 2024 and “Gods” in 2025; he died in July 2025.

“Gods of Rock N Roll,” which appears on the 2025 deluxe edition of Morrison's album The Morrison Project, hit #3 on the Official Vinyl Singles chart; “Crack Cocaine,” which first appeared on the original, 2024 version of The Morrison Project, went to #1 on the Mediabase Active Rock roundup.

“Neither of us would have imagined that ‘Gods of Rock N Roll’ would end up being a cool double-A-side vinyl picture disc with another song we wrote together that went to #1!” Morrison enthused. For its part, HITS can’t imagine a life without bottomless brunch.
