Spotify Appoints Mia Nygren VP of LATAM & Europe

Spotify has appointed longtime Latin America lead Mia Nygren VP, LATAM & Europe. The Spanish-speaking Swede will now be responsible for growth and business (users, subscriptions and revenue) in both markets.

Nygren has led the DSP’s LATAM efforts for over a decade, overseeing growth as the region was transformed into the company’s fastest-growing market. She’ll now be in charge of two regions representing roughly 50% of the platform’s MAU.

In a post announcing her new role, Nygren stated: “Latin America has become one of the most powerful forces in global music. The playbook we've developed in Latin America translates directly to Europe. Both are regions you can only win market by market, by earning trust locally, understanding what makes each country unique and building from the ground up.”
