BandLab's User Experience Nets Webby Win
BandLab has won the People's Voice Award for best user experience at the 30th Webby Awards in the apps, software and immersive category. It marks the second consecutive year the company has been honored at the Webbys, following its 2025 People's Voice Award for technical achievement.
The Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. Each category has two honors: the Webby Award, selected by the IADAS judging panel of over 3,000 industry experts, and the People's Voice Award, determined by public vote. BandLab was voted the winner by the public.
“User experience is easy to talk about, but harder to get right,” BandLab CEO/co-founder Meng Ru Kuok said. “It only matters if people actually use what you’ve built, and keep coming back to it. This award reflects that. Millions of creators are making music on BandLab every day, often starting and finishing songs on a phone. That’s the experience we care about.”
This year’s Webby Awards ceremony, hosted by The Daily Show correspondent Josh Johnson, takes place in NYC on May 11. Other winners include Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, Troye Sivan, Apple and NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert. We, of course, are always considered losers.
