Music licensing platform Songtradr will not be taking its usual licensing fees for services rendered through 4/18. In an effort to alleviate some of the financial stress that many artists and creative are facing during this pandemic, the company is giving its share of any new licensing transactions directly to the artists.
"With live performances canceled and no definitive end in sight, independent artists and musicians all around the world are suffering. To increase artist’s revenue during this time, and inspire our music buyers to participate in making a difference, we are giving our share of any new licensing transactions directly to our artists for the next month,” shares CEO and Founder Paul Wiltshire.
The platform, which specializes in licensing music for sync to a range of industries like TV, film, video games and advertising, also offers digital distribution and has worked with clients including Disney, Netflix, Apple, Coca-Cola, Amazon and Columbia Pictures, among others.
