BLOCKING EP TO COST PRINCE ESTATE $1M

A Minnesota federal judge has ordered Prince’s estate to pay $1m to continue preventing the release of the EP Deliverance and extended a restraining order to prevent the release of the tracks.

The estate has until 5/12 to post a $1m bond, and the restraining order barring the release of the songs has been extended to 11:59 p.m. on 5/22.

Rogue Music Alliance planned to release Deliverance, an EP of songs engineer George Ian Boxill had worked on with Prince between 2006 and 2008, on 4/21 and their release was quickly halted after the estate filed suit to block the release. Rogue continues to sell the “Deliverance” track.
