TRUMP IS CERTAINLY "ROLLING" IN SOMETHING
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump—who was present for Adele's Radio City Music Hall gig in December—has become fond of blasting the XL/Columbia powerhouse's smashes during his campaign (namely "Rolling in the Deep" and "Skyfall"). Adele, however, has made it clear that the two have absolutely no association. Apparently, he can get away with a lot of things, but earning her approval is not one of them.
In a statement made to CNN, a rep from her team said, "Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.” #MicDrop.
This isn't the first case of an artist shutting down The Donald. In October, E! had reported that Steven Tyler sent Trump a cease and desist letter, which read, "Trump for President does not have our client's permission to use ‘Dream On' or any of our client's other music in connection with the campaign because it gives the false impression that [Tyler] is connected with or endorses Mr. Trump's presidential bid."
Expect a really mean music-related tweet from The Donald, as soon as he finishes sampling loose-meat sandwiches in Bettendorf.
