IRVING: CHRISTINA'S "NOT PEAKED YET"

Irving Azoff rejected on Christina Aguilera’s behalf an offer to perform with Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez for a Las Vegas residency, according to a new report—noting that Aguilera hasn’t “peaked yet,” presumably unlike the other divas.

“[It’s] not time yet” for Vegas, the legendary manager told gossip blog That Grape Juice. “She’s about to go back on The Voice, about to finish her record, about to do another guest shot on Nashville and the record’s amazing.”

“No disrespect to Britney or to Jennifer Lopez, who is doing [a residency], or to Shania,” Azoff elaborated, “Christina’s not peaked yet. She’s in the prime of her career. We’ll tour the world, but we’re not ready to sit down in Vegas.”

The allegation that the other stars, especially Spears, had “peaked” had some of Britney’s fans fairly piqued (the pickup on Twitter alone was extensive). But Aguilera, whose history with Spears has been frosty, has reportedly made no effort to walk back Azoff’s comments. You can check out the whole interview here:
