A Bloomberg report says Apple has been in talks with an arry of artists. including Florence + the Machine, for exclusive deals for the revamped iTunes/Beats streaming service, in hopes that star exclusives and/or windowed offerings will pump up subscriptions. The piece echoes what observers have been saying for some time (as borne out by new offering Tidal, among others): Exclusive content will be key to ramping up subcriptions. Apple's universe of gadgets and legions of users, of course, give it a big leg up.
