Songs of Hope VI
FLOATING HOPE: City of Hope’s Songs of Hope VI event will be held on Nov. 4 from 7-10pm at the Esquire House in the Hollywood Hills. Kevin Pollack will MC, with live performances by the Doobie Brothers, Kenny Loggins and K’Naan. The Clive Davis “Legend in Songwriting” Award will be presented to Kenny Loggins, the Martin Bandier “Vanguard” Award to K’Naan, the Electronic Arts Composer Award to Randy Newman, the MusicNotes “Golden Note” Award to Carole Bayer Sager, and the “American Heritage” Award to the Doobies. This year’s silent auction includes Slash’s autographed top hat, a walk-on role in the new Jamie Foxx movie, and an autographed Avatar film score, among others. For more, go here. (9/30p)
