Pandora, Sirius XM Lead Sound Exchange Revenues

NOT SO SOUND EXCHANGE: According to figures supplied by Live365 attorney Angus McDonald, Pandora and Sirius XM Radio now account for roughly 90% of collection agency SoundExchange’s total revenues. While Pandora's share represents 37% of the org’s total, Sirius XM, with 22+ million subscribers, accounts for more than half of the company’s annual collections. Sirius XM has brought an antitrust suit against the company, claiming it paid “nearly $200 million in statutory royalties to the record industry” in 2011, a large majority of that to SoundExchange.
