A2IM TAPS NEW BOARD: Daptone Records GM Cathy Bauer, Glassnote Records GM Dan Scully and Jagjaguwar/Dead Oceans/Secretly Canadian Founder/Co-Owner Darius Van Arman have been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Association of Independent Labels. The three elected members will serve three-year terms. A2IM President Rick Bengloff also appointed Wind-up Records President/CEO Ed Vetri to the President’s Advisory Committee, and reappointed Big Machine GM Andrew Kautz and Mack Avenue Records President Danny Stilwell to the same committee. The new Board’s term begins July 4 and members will officially be introduced during the org’s 7th Anniversary Indie Week in New York, June 19-21. The remainder of the Board includes Sub Pop VP Business Affairs Eric Brown, Epitaph GM Dave Hansen, Yep Rock Co-Owner Tor Hansen, Alligator Records Founder/CEO Bruce Iglauer, The Beggars Group Founder/CEO Martin Mills, Naxos of America CEO Jim Selby, Tommy Boy CEO/Founder Tom Silverman and Razor & Tie COO Victor Zaraya. Stepping down from the Board at the completion of their three-year terms are Concord Records’ Glen Barros, tinyOGRE’s Jim Cooperman and Kill Rock Stars’ Portia Sabin. (6/4p)
