STEVE’S SUMMER VOCATION: It's just three weeks from the premiere of Opening Act, the new music reality show dreamed up by Nigel Lythgoe of American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance and multitasking EA music maven Steve Schnur. We know that because we saw the billboard. Meanwhile, that music you hear on the TV spots is WB act Outasight's "Now or Never" as the record grows in the low 30s at Pop with strong M-Scores and great major leaders at Y100, Q102, WKQI, WFLZ, KDWB, etc., which means the show is already paying dividends to the music business...and it hasn't even aired yet.
